The Position: Position General Summary: This is an intern position to help the student learn the responsibilities at FLVS under the supervision of the designated supervisor. This is a part-time, temporary position. Essential Position Functions: Assist with department functions as needed under the direction of the supervisor Contribute to the overall functionality of the department and assist staff with office and facility tasks as necessary Provide a high level of customer service Hold all work-related information in the strictest confidence; any breach in confidence may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrates respect for others (These essential functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job-related duties as required.) Minimum Requirements: Education/Licensure/Certification: Must be currently enrolled in a High School, Trade/Tech School or College/University Must be at least 18 years of age Must have or working toward certification in the field of the intern position Knowledge, abilities and skills: Knowledge of basic computer operations and office software Knowledge of database systems for data retrieval Strong organizational skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other departments, and customers in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and follow verbal and written instructions Demonstrative skill in attention to detail CORE COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS: COMMUNICATION SKILLS Clearly and effectively conveys and/or presents information verbally;
