Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. The hospital offers a variety of services for a culturally diverse community, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women’s Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our busy on-site full-service pharmacy provides prescription services to discharged, emergency department, and clinic patients as well as employees. We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor.

The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for completing Open Chart Reviews according to departmental protocol. The Supervisor is responsible for new employee orientation, ongoing staff training, and reorientation, as appropriate. The Social Work Supervisor acts as a resource to the assigned Social Workers and assists in escalating appropriate cases. The Social Work Supervisor is involved in performance improvement activities within the department and presents at hospital-wide Performance Improvement Meetings. Reports to the Director of Case Management and Social Work.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree from an accredited University in Social Work.
• NYS license to practice as a Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW). LCSW preferred.
• Hospital Experience of three years or more preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferable.
• Flexible team player with other hospital professionals.
• Ability to instruct and provide orientation.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
