The Compliance Specialist I has a depth of knowledge within designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility that is applied to diverse assignments. This position may collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management in order to drive results. This position may guide and share knowledge with other IT staff.• Monitor processes and required documentation for the timely coordination and completion of routine and scheduled tasks in a way that meets or exceeds compliance requirements• Ensure that project deliverables and schedules are met• Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification and risk identification discussions• Maintain effective working relationships to support a culture of compliance• Apply knowledge of IT compliance best practices• Actively participate in processes improvement activities• Demonstrated strong technical and non-technical communication skills, both oral and written• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills• Maintain strict confidentiality and protect personal private information• Demonstrate high level of integrity and work effectively with others to facilitate open communication and operational excellence• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) year of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements• Demonstrated competencies in areas of audit, compliance, project management, relationship building, and all aspects of audit• Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Business Management, or related technical discipline• Two (2) years related experience in IT compliance, security, or governance• Certification in IT compliance, security, or governance• Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology• Assess technology resources (hardware, software, and critical applications) for compliance with policies, practices, regulations, and laws• Identify, detect, and recommend corrections for noncompliance.• Assist in improving business processes by supporting a program of internal audits and external assessments against adopted standards• Maintain IT compliance programs to improve workplace adherence to standards, laws, and regulations.• Stay updated on changing regulations, assess their impact on technology initiatives and implement measures to ensure compliance.• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit results, and corrective actions.• Create and facilitate training on compliance policies and procedures.• Provide oral and written communications to discuss identified deficiencies to mitigate risk• Assist with managing regulatory compliance activities• Monitor progress of compliance activities• Act as a liaison among the IT department, internal and external auditors, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements• Assess the effectiveness of IT Internal Controls and verify controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate risks• Perform assessments to verify compliance with laws, regulations, rules, and internal policies and procedures• Analyze, detect, monitor, and report on issues, risks, and vulnerabilities in a timely manner• Identify potential risk areas and identify risk mitigation and/or corrective action plans• Coordinate, track, and report remediation efforts for all IT deficiencies
