Summary of Responsibilities

The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing the activities of warehouse employees; prioritizes work assignments, allocates orders, and verifies that warehouse deliveries have been completed. 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Assists warehouse manager with development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse employees.
• Supervises all shipping, receiving, and packaging activities performed by the warehouse employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees in the warehouse.
• Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments.
• Communicates well with leadership, employees, and other departments.
• Monitors work quality to consistently deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
• Processes, picks, pulls stock and schedules deliveries to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ensures accurate inventory control.
• Maintains the company equipment in the warehouse including the delivery vehicles.
• Delivers products to customers, either in person or through other acceptable means (delivery service, will call, managing and scheduling driver (s), etc.)
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with internal/external customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong inventory skills
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified.
