Flowerland Garden Centers of Cleveland is Hiring a Cashier/Customer Service - Brunswick Store Near Brunswick, OH

Assist customers, complete transactions and answer phones with the highest level of quality and efficiency to ensure the success of daily operations as well as the strategic goals of the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain customer service goals and objectives on a consistent basis, making sure that each customer has a great experience every time they enter and leave the store.
  • Be kind and courteous to everyone at all times.
  • Direct customers to store areas of need and make sure they are comfortable before you leave them.
  • Demonstrate superior phone etiquette as outlined by the organization and direct calls appropriately.
  • Make sure all items leave building with proper processing.
  • Watch for potential theft.
  • Finalize all purchases/returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Answer questions customers may have about products and/or plants, and if necessary direct them to someone who can better answer the question.
  • Make sure each customer has all the necessary items to be successful in the garden.
  • Promote Petitti Rewards loyalty program.
  • Maintain proper pricing and clear signage.
  • Maintain a clean and straightened work area and sales floor at all times.
  • Stock and refill supplies in work area and stock and refill merchandise as needed.
  • Apply basic mathematical skills when necessary.
  • Notify Department Head of any problems with the POS system when scanning products or with any other inventory issue.
  • Attend daily huddles and store meetings.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Maintain neat, professional appearance at all times, including personal appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the Company’s Point of Sale (POS) system, basic Microsoft computer programs, Company e-mail and their capabilities.
  • General knowledge of products and plants.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolongedstanding, walking, bending, lifting and climbing at various heights may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
