Our gardeners are creating and maintaining beautiful, sustainable gardens for clients who truly appreciate our professional level of artistry. The short season makes for a fast pace and employees must be able to: take direction well, creatively problem solve and communicate with clients and coworkers clearly.

Requirements:

• Must live in the Jackson area
• 2 years of past gardening experience
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to drive a pickup truck
• Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize
• The polite, positive, and cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, and customers
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Work on your feet for a sustained period of time
• Frequent repetitive movements including bending, twisting, lifting, kneeling, pushing
• Planting, shoveling, raking, and use of hand tools

Job Functions:

• Perform seasonal landscape work including planting, pruning, cleanup, bulb planting, dividing, transplanting, and leaf removal
• Manage 3 employees
• Assist in the daily preparation of trucks and equipment
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Weed identification and control
• Mulching and soil preparation

Compensation:

• Very competitive pay, end of season bonus based on performance
