**Duties** : Responsible for prototyping, validating and creating specific application solutions for the business. Monitor critical database parameters, identify performance bottlenecks in the database and propose index-tuning solutions. Collaborate with solution architects on upcoming technology upgrades, assess technology risks and establish mitigation plans. Identify key concepts to utilize in newer versions and developing proof of concepts. Work with database admin team and support database upgrades and maintenance activities. Assess Database Cloud technologies, layout migration plan and participate in the cloud implementation. Meet periodically with onshore and offshore developers, review, and mentor to improve code quality and software quality standards. Collaborate with Business team, understand their reporting needs and design reports for data analysis. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwabs internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $147,400 to $246,800 per year

**What you have**

**Job Requirements** : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field, plus 7 years of progressive, post-Bachelors related experience.

Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Mongo DB (Version 4.0 and up) installation, ReplicaSe and Clusters setup; Tableau reports design and deployment; ETL tool design with Talend Open Studio, Pentaho data integration, Microsoft SSIS or similar tools; Mongo Query language scripting and DB Performance monitoring; Bash Shell scripting in Linux servers; C#.Net code debugging in Visual Studio; and RESTFull services (Web API) testing using Postman.
