Working in rehabilitation and sports medicine is a challenge and very hard work, but seeing the dog with IVDD walk again, returning the sport dog to competition, or providing comfort and mobility to the geriatric patient is extremely rewarding. A rehabilitation technician also has the opportunity to really develop relationships with their patients and clients during the therapeutic process. There is a lot to learn in this expanding field along with the opportunity to become a VTS (physical rehabilitation) which would be encouraged and supported. A hard-working, independent, confident, social veterinary technician that enjoys learning would be the ideal fit for a rehabilitation technician at Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.
