Job Title: Insurance Credentialing Specialist

Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and accurate credentialing and re-credentialing of healthcare providers with insurance companies and managed care organizations

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance credentialing requirements and standards

• Prepare and submit credentialing applications, supporting documentation, and follow-up correspondence

• Monitor the status of credentialing applications and communicate updates to providers

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for credentialing applications

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance credentialing

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to credentialing

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiar with medical office operations and medical terminology

• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (Epic, ECW, eMDs), On-line Insurance Carrier Websites, Microsoft Office and database management

Requirements

Experience: 

Previous experience in insurance credentialing or related field-Required

Knowledge of managed care and insurance credentialing standards

Skills:

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
