Position Description
Quality Inspector
Responsible for general electrical, fiber optic, and mechanical inspection of components, subassemblies, and final assemblies to assure conformance to specifications such as measuring dimensions and examining functionality. Monitor production to ensure that standards are met and assist in quality training as needed. Monitor production and quality equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration. Assists with first article inspections. Reads blueprints, specifications and interprets quality/workmanship standards. Maintains defect logs, SPC charts, controlled documentation, and inputs data on a computer regarding incoming/in- process/outbound levels. Provides assistance with all elements of product and process quality. Uses problem solving skills to investigate and resolve problems. Must regularly update job knowledge through continuing quality education. Background with quality systems such as ISO-9001 and AS9100 strongly desired. Experience with IPC manufacturing standards strongly desired.
