Accountant
Florida Pediatric Associates is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Knowledge of accounting systems principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of computer accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Windows based software programs including word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Experience:
  • One year of accounting experience preferred.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strictly adhere to Department Policies, Procedures and Protocols, especially those
that apply to accounting duties and processes.
  • Strictly adhere to the Company Compliance Program and immediately report suspected acts of non-compliance to the Department Director or designee.
  • Strictly adhere to the Company Privacy and Security Standards and immediately report suspected breaches to the Department Director or designee.
  • Strictly adhere to the Department Quality Improvement and Assurance Program and immediately report deviations from quality metrics to Department Director or designee.
  • Deposit and accurately record cash receipts.
  • Prepare and input general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Manage retirement plan related employee deferral wire transfers according to established time deadlines.
  • Review and, when necessary, reconcile accounts payable and receivable entries and general ledger entries.
  • Review and, when necessary, reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Review and submit Florida Pediatrics payroll.
  • Balance payroll and benefits-related general ledger entries:
    • Preparation and input of monthly general ledger entries for payroll and benefits.
    • Maintenance of all necessary schedules showing 401(k) and Health Savings Account deferrals, contributions, and accruals.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting and Finance with annual audit and tax schedules.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting and Finance with the preparation and review of general ledgers, preliminary financial statements, and financial reports.
  • Organize and maintain all required records, reports, and files.
  • Promptly report matters that delay or disrupt workflow to the Department Director or designee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Serve as brand representative for Florida Pediatric Associates, LLC (FPA) by embracing the FPA culture and mission statement, core values and standards of conduct.
  • Strictly adhere to all FPA Standards including, but not limited to:
    • Compliance Standards.
    • Privacy and Security Standards.
    • Workplace Standards.
    • Workforce Standards.
  • Strictly adhere to Department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in FPA quality assurance and quality improvement process.
  • Promptly report suspected acts of non-compliance with Company Standards and Policies.
  • Participate in job-related continuing education programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
  • Position may require a combination of telecommuting and working in an office setting.
