We are a well-established Marine Joinery company in the Port of Tampa. We work on government and commercial contracts in the marine industry, and are currently looking to fill a position for a custom furniture builder / wood worker.

Experience:

· 5 yrs. experience working in the furniture / cabinet building industry for residential or commercial trade.

· Have strong background with wood working tools, extensive knowledge of how to use wood working tools and machinery.

· Focused on safe working practices.

· Knowledge of plywood, hard woods, plastics, as well as gluing and finishing mica on wood.

· Comfortable taking measurements and discussing perspective jobs with clients, drawing a takeoff for projects, making cut lists, and economically building the project in a timely manner.

· Independent thinker is a must, creative thinker, problem solver, and having good interpersonal skills with employees and customers alike.

· Ability to work precisely with an eye for detail.

Requirements:

· Applicant must be able to pass background check for Port of Tampa Bay and Federal Transportation Workers credentials.

· Pass a drug test.

· Possess a valid Florida Driver License.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Schedule:

· Day shift is Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

· Overtime as required.

· Having the ability to travel out of town on occasion for work is a must.
