The Event and Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance to Learning and Business Development teams in the administration of events and fulfillment of exhibit, sponsor, and advertising deliverables: including the maintenance of administrative records for learning events, securing of Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) approvals for educational events, exhibitor and sponsor communications, and deliverable status tracking.
Essential Job Functions
Education Requirements
Graduation from high school or an equivalent certificate and four years of general administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience and Competencies
Knowledge of: general administrative office environment practices including filing, proofing, basic grammar, and correspondence formatting; basic bookkeeping principles, event and trade show planning, database application, and CPE operations policies and procedures.
Skills in: telephone etiquette, word processing (including mail merge), and data entry and retrieval.
Ability to: communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; prioritize work tasks efficiently, and perform multiple tasks.
Essential Physical Skills:
This position operates in a professional office environment and will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment. The person in this position must be able to operate and drive a vehicle during the regular business day including after regular business hours. This is a largely sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle while driving, sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and using the telephone. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. The person in this position frequently communicates with others via telephone, video conferencing, and uses computer application messaging, such as Microsoft Teams. The employee must be able to work in the primary workplace location to ensure appropriate cooperation and collaboration with coworkers in an in-person capacity to best ensure support to the Association’s membership.
