Florida Heart Associates is recruiting for a full-time Switchboard Operator Customer Service Representative (CSR) for our busy Cardiology practice. Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus. The Switchboard Operator functions as a first point of contact over the phone answering and routing a high volume of incoming phone calls at main telephone switchboard. The Switchboard Operator will provide assistance in a pleasant and efficient manner. The ideal candidate must be customer service oriented and portray patience, understanding, and professionalism.

Located in the attractive Southwest Florida Gulf Coast area, Florida Heart Associates is a fully accredited, modern medical center dedicated to meeting the cardiac needs of Southwest Florida. We perform diagnostic cardiac testing, in addition to peripheral vascular procedures. We also support an in-house cardiac PET imaging system, stress testing, ECHO, and management of arrhythmia equipment.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of medical office and telephone experience preferred.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Answer telephone, screen calls, and route calls to appropriate extensions in a pleasant and efficient manner.
• Provides communication service between the hospital, employees, physicians and patients.
• Identify new patients on schedule and mail New Patient Information packets.
• Sort hospital Face Sheets and retrieve diagnosis from hospital clinical data base for GEMMS.
• Enter hospital EKG charges with diagnosis.
• Function as backup to the Scheduling Department as directed.
• Assists with the maintenance of directories, etc.

• This position may require rotation between departments
• Punctual, dependable and regular on-site attendance is required
