POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for OPS Snack Bar Staff. This is a part-time position located at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. Duties include overseeing and operating the snack bar on the weekends and occasionally fill in for the full-time staff during the week; counting/signing off on petty cash when opening, record all cash, leaving the correct amount of petty cash to be kept in the safe at closing. Oversee all snack bar sales conducted in a friendly, but professional manner; stock all coolers; keeping area clean; make sure all health department standards are being followed. This posting will be open until a qualified candidates have been selected.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
• The ability to work a non-standard work schedule that may include evenings, weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to work with general public in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional manner
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
• If selected, a comprehensive background screening and credit check will be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cash handling with sales transactions & customer service experience
