Job Summary:

The Floral and Decor Specialist will oversee wedding, corporate, and social events and ensure client satisfaction. They drive business growth through lead generation, referrals, and building industry connections. Collaboration with our business partners and production teams ensures the timely delivery of high-quality products and services. Essential Job Functions:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborating with clients to plan and execute weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. This includes understanding event requirements, suggesting floral designs, and coordinating logistics with the production team.
  • Demonstrating expertise in floral products, arrangements, and event services. Providing clients with information about available options, pricing, and customization.
  • Working closely with the senior manager, procurement, production, and design teams to ensure smooth execution of events. Communicating client preferences, managing expectations, and overseeing the delivery of products and services.
  • Tracking and managing budgets for events, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Handling invoicing, payments, and financial negotiations with clients and suppliers.
  • Staying up-to-date with current trends, market competition, and industry innovations. Continuously seeking opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details. Analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and providing regular reports to management.
  • Resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the planning and execution of events. Making quick decisions, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, understanding client preferences, and exceeding their expectations are key factors in retaining clients and generating referrals.
  • Performing various administrative duties, such as maintaining client databases, preparing proposals and contracts, tracking of proposal status and managing communication channels.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A proven track record in account management or sales, preferably in the floral or event industry, is important. Experience in managing wedding, corporate, and social events is highly valued.
  • A strong understanding of the floral industry, including trends, styles, and product knowledge, is essential. Familiarity with wedding and event planning processes and requirements is also beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients, understand their needs, and convey the value of the products and services offered.
  • Being able to think creatively and offer unique floral designs and event decor including linens, accessories, furniture, stationary, etc. Aesthetic sense and an eye for detail are important in creating visually appealing designs.
  • Ability to manage time and projects in a team environment as well as working independently.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously is vital. Strong organizational skills ensure that all events and client requirements are handled efficiently.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, including lead generation, building relationships, and closing deals, is important. Negotiation skills are beneficial in securing favorable terms with suppliers and clients.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for managing accounts, tracking leads, and creating presentations or proposals is advantageous.

  • Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above.
  • Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to maintain good relationships with employees, supervisors, and clients
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
