Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Insurance Verifier who is bilingual in Spanish to join our team. The Insurance Verifier will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorizations for procedures, and communicating with insurance companies to ensure claims are processed accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Fluency in both English and Spanish languages
- Proven experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in insurance verification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using insurance verification software and Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits by contacting insurance companies
- Obtain pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for medical procedures
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding insurance coverage and claims
- Update patient records with insurance information and authorizations
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies in insurance coverage
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
