FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS – Bowling Green, Hardee County, Florida

If so the FDC offers full-time employment with on-the-job training for one to be successful in Corrections including a 160-hour onboarding program followed by a 13-week Corrections Academy.

The FDC is the third largest state corrections system in the US and the largest state agency in Florida. The Department has twenty-five thousand authorized positions, 80 percent of which are in either Certified Correctional Officers or probation officers.
No experience is necessary to apply, and all training is provided.
Compensation: $22 hourly based on a standard 8.5-hour shift schedule
Correctional Officers are responsible for the supervision, care, custody, control, and physical restraint, when necessary, of inmates in a Correctional Institution or facility.
