Job summary
Perform physical and clerical duties related to shipping and receiving of product and materials. Prepare bills of lading and other paperwork. Record quantities and check to ensure order is complete; verify and record receipt on receiving slips, checking against purchase orders, packing slips or bills of lading. Ensure materials are stacked/stored safely. Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed; maintain dock inventories. Verify and/or prepare reports. Weigh and/or measure specific quantities of varying types of finished products to assure accurate shipments based on volume, weight or physical count. Move and stage product; prepare for shipment according to customers’ guidelines, inclusive of stretch wrapping and/or other specific packaging requirements. Report problems with shortages, incorrect materials received and/or damages associated with incoming shipments and any problems associated with outbound shipments promptly. Maintain equipment, work areas and housekeeping standards. Be vigilant to safety issues, concerns, and hazards. Report unsafe conditions immediately to prevent accidents and injuries. Re-package and appropriately identify material for return to inventory or for re-use. Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader or department manager.

Minimum requirements
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with employees from diverse multicultural backgrounds to provide support to manufacturing and secondary operations. Must have basic computer literacy with ability to accurately input and retrieve data. Basic math skills required. Must be certified for forklift use.
Abilities required
Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs infrequently. Ability to climb, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and/or work on platforms and in congested areas. Able to walk and/or stand up to 80% of the work day.
