Floors Incorporated is Hiring a Purchasing Inventory Coordinator Near Austin, TX

Description

JOB SUMMARY

Purchasing - Inventory is responsible for the placing, tracking and communication on the status of materials ordered. This is key position in our organization and one that requires extensive communication and collaboration with others to be successful.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promote a safe, injury/accident-free culture.
  • Place stock and special-order material requests with vendors per policy and procedure.
  • Management of inventory to include appropriate stock levels. 
  • Make suggestions on improvement to the Director of Operations.
  • Communicate with appropriate parties when materials are backordered or not available.
  • Assist with cycle-counts, as necessary.
  • Analyze process workflow.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Functionality in Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehousing.
  • Knowledge of flooring installation systems pertaining to single family home construction.
  • Highly collaborative and works well with others.
  • High School diploma or equivalency. Experience in a relative position will also be considered.
