Flooring World of Florida is Hiring a Field Superintendent/Project Manager Near Boca Raton, FL

Position Summary- Field Superintendent/ Project Manager

This position will work with the Administration and Estimating Departments to coordinate all the materials, labor and installations needed for residential and commercial projects. Must be highly organized, self-motivated and demonstrate attention to detail with a high level of accuracy/quality. The person in this position needs to have superb time management, organization, construction sequencing and scheduling skills and be knowledgeable and experienced with all flooring installations- carpet, vinyl, wood, laminate, tile, and stone. This person conducts all inspections of job site requirements to achieve successful installation and meet warranty requirements. This person must have excellent communication and listening skills to work with our GC and builder customers’ field and project management personnel to build positive customer relations and build on Flooring World’s excellent craftsmanship and service.

Position Responsibilities but not limited to the following:

  • Ability to read, understand and analyze blueprints, interpret specifications, utilize material take-offs, and contract scopes and construction schedules to fully understand installation requirements, develop durations and develop plan for installations.
  • Inspect job site requirements and advise estimating department, GC and builder personnel of required corrections/adjustments or additions to our scope which require change orders.
  • Coordinate with Administration delivery of flooring materials and install materials to job site.
  • Maintain installation scheduling of each project.
  • Utilize labor estimates to finalize and issue subcontractor labor scopes and labor sheets for payment. Confirm completion of scopes and payment with administration department to issue checks.
  • Interact effectively with office personnel, customers, vendors, and suppliers. Handle requests, inquiries, or complaints in a professional manner and on a timely basis.
  • Develop positive relationships with customers, suppliers, installers, and employees.
  • Ensure safe practices and adherence to Flooring World Safety Plan and Handbook and OSHA requirements.
  • Meet or exceed performance to all project budgets/ estimates for materials, labor, install materials, etc.

Position Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Experience in construction and flooring installations and high standards for finish requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking skills and leadership.
  • Good organization, scheduling, project management and time management skills.
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, and counsel subcontractor teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-starter, self-directed and ability to work with minimal daily supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
