Required immediately, our LOCAL Abbotsford BRANCH is seeking a MACHINE OPERATOR.
Desired Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma
• 1 year experience in a similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quarts a plus
• Strong attention to details, hard working, motivated
• Strong communication (both written and verbal)
• Basic mathematical skills with an understanding of fractions and measurements
• Knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools 
• Trouble shooting and use of good judgement
• Able to work 10 hour shifts

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe operation of various machines
• Sets-up stock to be machined using laser guides for placement of product
• Loads machines by lifting stock into position using mechanical lifters
• Verifies settings by measuring positions; adhering to set standards
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Maintains workstation in a clean and orderly manner
• Observes and adhere to all safety procedures while on the production floor
• Other duties as assigned
