We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The Project Manager will manage civil underground utility and/or bridge construction projects in the region. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, engineers, team members.
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned project engineers, office engineers, and project assistants.
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the project comply with company, contract, and safety requirements and support overall construction schedule.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Work with the Superintendent to manage day to day field activities of project personnel and ensure that project milestones and dates are met.
  • Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
  • Determine appropriate construction methods and job specifications.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and control project financials adequately, maintaining cost controls.
  • Complete internal reports for project accounting and oversee project profitability.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years construction project management experience. Experience managing underground utility projects preferred.
  • S. degree in Civil Engineering, construction management, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to manage 1 large or several small projects at any one time.
  • Must be knowledgeable of construction contract language and contract law.
  • Experience with contract and change order negotiations.
  • Computer experience (Windows, Excel, Word, and Project Management Software, to include scheduling software, i.e. Primavara, Viewpoint, etc).
