FLIP THE BIRD IS SEEKING A KITCHEN LEADER FOR THEIR DANVERS LOCATION

This is a great starting position for restaurant and food service management

Position Overview:

Work directly under the General Manager and Store Leader. Maintain store cleanliness. Assist with staff management & customer support. This is a basic supervisory position with responsibilities including:

- Ensure proper inventory control

- Par list management and product ordering

- Counting and closing out cash drawers

- Assist in managing staffing during call outs

- Work with new Team Members in proper procedures for working at Flip The Bird

- Keep par lists and complete ordering checklists

- Follow checklists and ensure staff complete daily tasks.

Flip The Bird, a fast casual restaurant focusing on southern hospitality, homemade comfort food and good vibes, is looking for a Store Manager for multiple locations. If your skills include a high level of organization, calmness in a fast-paced work environment, confidence in properly ordering and maintaining a well-stocked store, and the ability to positively motivate and manage a team, then Flip The Bird will be a great fit for you!

Position Details:

  • $20.00/hour
  • 40 hours of paid vacation and personal time

Position Requirements:

  • 1-3 year restaurant/fast food experience
  • Strong understanding of ordering and inventory control
  • ServSafe Certified
  • Allergen Awareness Certification
  • Understanding of POS systems and ability to properly manage registers
  • A positive professional attitude. We are not looking for “old school” restaurant managers
  • Be available to be scheduled day, evening, weekday, and weekend shifts
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to be on your feet for an entire shift
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Choke Certified (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive, team-based work environment at all times
  • Work closely with General Manager to properly staff the store, keeping labor costs in line and work load consistent
  • Approve/Decline shift pool changes/requests
  • Maintain inventory management, par levels, and ordering processes
  • Adapt a strong understanding of every position (FOH or BOH) to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure the highest quality food production and manage the team to the same standards
  • Accurately balance drawers and on-site bank when MOD
  • Have positive, professional attitude
  • Clear communication with team to ensure organized and stream-lined shifts
  • Calming demeanor with the ability to diffuse any situation
  • Be a model of hospitality and a team player, who leads by example
  • Be a positive motivator and teacher to others by being proactive with cleaning, stocking, and general preparedness of the restaurant
  • Communicate with assistant manager team leads on a daily basis
  • Fill out manager logs at the end of every shift and report on daily occurrences
  • Display effective problem-solving skills
  • Promptly communicate any issues needing General Manager involvement to ensure quick solutions

  • 8-10 hour shifts

  • Weekend availability
  • Full-time salary position requiring a minimum of 40 hours a week
