Location: Flint Cultural Center Academy EFFECTIVE DATE: 2022/2023 School Year Paid Pre-Service to begin on August 2, 2022.
Job Summary:
The FCCA Cyclone Success Interventionist will oversee, coordinate, and supervise the Cyclone Success Intervention Room which will be a place that focuses on social and emotional needs of students. Restorative practices will be implemented for students that are exhibiting challenges with peers and staff members based on social and/or emotional constraints. Requirements :
Develop Functional Behavior Plans with Dean of Student, School Social Worker, School Counselor or Administration as deemed appropriate.
Communicate with appropriate school personnel on student progress and additional needs.
Track behavior and attendance on targeted students each week and follow-up as necessary.
Attend Child Study Team (CST) meetings as requested.
Assist with lunch/recess periods under the direction of the Dean of Students/Administration.
Oversee a restorative justice room where students can work through challenges to return to the classroom setting.
Supports the Academy's development to implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for student behavior.
