Responsible for developing software for visual simulation system. Application areas include real-time image generation; visual environment and model creation tools; display system design, measurement, and alignment; computer systems and information security.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other applicable technical field.
Ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and expertise for this level usually results from internal progressive experience. However selection for this position is based on the demonstrated ability of the person to successfully fulfill the requirements listed.

SPECIALTIES: Several specialty software engineer roles are defined within the Software Engineer I-V framework. These roles largely obviate the need to meet the more comphensive Software Knowledge and Skill requirements of the general Software Engineer role.
While the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of the Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work is usually moderate.
