Purpose of Position

TheAH-64 Program Training Manager is responsible for design and development of simulation projects. Primary duties will include evaluation and documentation of AH-64E simulator flight model behavior, onboard avionics, and pilot vehicle interface. Position will require extensive experience with the AH-64E Primary Systems, Mission Equipment and Avionics operation and capabilities. Position will require candidate to perform coordination with PM and user community regarding simulation requirements and integrate user feedback to the design of future aircraft capability insertions.
Provides advice and technical direction for problem solving at a high level and is a recognized expert in the area AH-64E helicopter. Performs analysis, requirements development, defines problems, develops and recommends solutions, conducts evaluations, performs analytical work in support of systems and/or organizations, and possesses specialized knowledge and expertise in the designated area. This position requires expertise in the AH-64E helicopter. Use expertise, skill and networking ability to promote growth and development of future devices to support existing or developing opportunities. Provide support to AH-64E Business Development efforts as required.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Verifies overall flight characteristics, systems and functionality as compared to AH-64E aircraft.
  • Read current literature, talk with colleagues, continue education, or participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in AH-64E operation, equipment, or systems.
  • Meet with clients to discuss topics such as technical specifications, customized solutions, or operational problems.
  • Assist in documentation, design, or testing of the AH-64E systems.
  • Coordinate the development or administration of AH-64E devices, including the development of technical priorities, client reporting and interface, or coordination and review of schedules and budgets.
  • Make recommendations regarding upgrades, considering implications of new or revised AH-64E software, equipment, or applications.
  • Assist users in formulating AH-64E requirements or understanding the implications of alternatives.
  • Assist with the prepare training materials for, or make presentations to, AH-64E users.
  • Insure proper integration and functionality of OneSaf.
  • Participate in opportunity life cycle for follow-on/ECP and new requests for existing platforms and modifications to all types of training devices - from approach to proposal development, submittal, audit support and final award.
  • Participate in pre-RFP efforts, including collecting and organizing documentation, facilitating and leading strategy sessions.
  • General knowledge of FSI product line and possess ability to market current product line internally and externally as needed.
  • Must be capable of professional interaction across all levels of personnel, including executive leadership, former military personnel, technical subject matter experts, and supporting staff.
  • Oversee and/or develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, contacts lists and other proposal tools.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to proposal team members
  • Travel as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience
  • Recent experience as AH-64E Instructor Pilot, Standardization Instructor Pilot, or Maintenance Test Pilot experience preferred)
  • Experience coordinating program costs, schedule and requirements
  • Strong communication skills, self-starter able to work in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Training content development/SME experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Works independently or with others.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Exercises professional judgment and discretion; and assumes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of work.
  • In-depth knowledge of flight/aircrew training.
  • Solid knowledge of computers, Microsoft Windows and Office software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to sit, use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The teammate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The teammate must have close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
