Flexsys is looking to identify an individual experienced in supply chain finance. This is a newly formed role will focus primarily in the areas of inventory, distribution (warehousing, freight), and procurement. As such, the candidate will be part of the overall role development. The ideal candidate will have an “entrepreneurial” spirit to proactively identify opportunities that will have a meaningful impact to the broader organization. 

This position will be part of the Flexsys Operations Finance team but will have significant exposure to the Integrated Supply Chain (“ISC”) functional teams. Specifically, this person will partner with the ISC leaders and site controllers to improve financial outcomes of our operations: maximize revenue, optimize cost, and reduce inventory.

Role will report to the Global Operations Controller based in Akron, Ohio

Position Responsibilities

· Serve primarily as the finance representative of the Integrated Supply Chain (“ISC”) function

· Provide financial oversight and cost controls through spend analytics and periodic reporting related to inventory, warehousing, and freight. Provide actionable recommendations for business opportunities and projects

· Month-end financial close responsibilities including reserves (E&O, Profit in Inventory, Stock in Transit, etc.) and accruals 

· Validate targeted and actual cost savings of ISC initiatives including assessment of savings calculation methodology

· Review proposed contracts from a financial perspective including assessment and documentation of accounting treatment (rebates, discounts, etc.)

· Audit current processes to identify areas of improvement (synergies/efficiencies, develop a single source of the truth, etc.)

· Planning, coordination, and monitoring of physical inventory programs (full physical / cycle counts, etc.) and external audit support

· Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts

· Prepare and/or coordinate ad-hoc financial analysis to support various Company stakeholders

· Expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing data and creating meaningful reports (PowerBI and other dashboards) that drive action

· Ability to understand business activities with a view broader than just the finance function – how it impacts the broader organization

· Ability to effectively work independently with limited supervision in a dynamic environment

Requirements

Position Requirements

· BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· 5 years of experience in relevant supply chain finance positions, preferably in a manufacturing environment

· Advanced SAP Knowledge & specific transaction history (MB51, MF Inventory transactions, etc.)

· Experience with connecting data sources (SAP), import & transform data, and create visual dashboards using PowerBI

· Knowledge of cross-functional ISC processes highly desirable

· Excellent analytical and organizational skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communications skills

· Demonstrate attention to detail

· Ability to think “out of the box” and encourage constructive change

· CPA – Preferred but not required
