FlexStaff Careers is Hiring a Production planner Near Melville, NY
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Production Control Planner , to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY.
This is a permanent, full-time job.
Please be advised that a relocation assistance is not provided.
In this role you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating materials between departments.
The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience in material control dispatching and / or expediting in an electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing plant, as well as ERP / MRP experience and strong knowledge of work schedules, bill of material and receiving reports.
RF / Microwave knowledge strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments.
- Release kits to production floor with proper travelers, operation sheets and documentation.
- Track and monitor purchased material for assigned projects.
- Coordinating schedule with PM, Production, Test, and Quality.
- Perform complex expediting and record keeping functions with current information on the location and progress of manufactured parts and assemblies.
- Report and resolve any problems or difficulties impacting the on-time delivery of jobs.
- Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
- Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports and status and location of materials.
- Move or transport material from one department to another.
- Expedite material to assure delivery and availability of material by due date.
