Production Team Leader

Position Description: LaserSharp FlexPak Services, LLC specializes in cutting edge laser processing and equipment for the flexible packaging industry. The Production Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency, productivity, and quality within the manufacturing environment. With responsibility for overseeing a team of Production Operators, the Production Team Leader ensures safety, coordinates tasks, provides guidance, fosters a culture of collaboration to meet production targets, and ensures seamless operations throughout their assigned shift.

Position Reports to: Operations Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•Promotes FlexPak culture.

•Lead, motivate, and coach a team of production operators in all aspects of machine operations and work order processing to achieve daily production goals. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive work environment conducive to high performance.

•Collaborate with Production Supervisor, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to optimize efficiency and meet production targets. Monitor production processes and promptly identify and address any issues or bottleneck impacting safety, quality and/or service.

•Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

•Enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure that products meet customer specifications. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality and integrity for each work order.

•Maintains communication with Production Supervisor and/or Operations Manager to ensure production schedule is fulfilled.

•Delivers completed work orders and related documentation to the Production Supervisor.

•Configure production software and perform machine adjustments and minor Preventative Maintenance on laser system equipment.

•Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains within the production environment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

•Assist with machine operations, reports, and customer trials as needed.

•Assists in the packaging and shipping of completed jobs as needed.

•Assist with Company’s SQF Certification and other regulatory quality and safety standards.

•Ensures administrative and cleaning tasks are completed as scheduled.

•Execute facilities start-up and shut-down procedures.

•Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Operations Manager

Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional education is preferred but not a requirement.

•3 years of experience operating production machinery

•At least 1 year of proven team leadership or supervisory experience.

•Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

•Ability to represent FlexPak in a professional manner to customers, suppliers, and others.

•Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Physical Requirements:

•Standing and walking on concrete floors in a manufacturing environment

•Capable of lifting up to 40-pounds

•Good hand-eye coordination

•Use of forklift, pallet jack, pallet wrappers, and other material handling equipment

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Every weekend
