This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities involving assigned team / shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to directing associates in the receiving & shipping of product, inventory accuracy, case pick selection, and work with leadership team to ensure all customer & company standards of service, quality, and safety are met / exceeded.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Coordinate the most efficient unloading of inbound shipments, correct stacking of product (Ti / Hi), put away of product, and the picking, staging, and loading of outbound shipments.
• Ensure inbound / outbound shipments are damage free and case quantities are accurate.
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload to maintain adequate staff for effective performance and response to fluctuating workloads.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse.
• Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations to always establish and practice a culture of safety among the team members.
• Ensure employees follow all policies and procedures, safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment, and ensure all food safety practices are maintained.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings relaying general information and or specific topics, also provide cross communication between shifts.
• Review KPI metrics, evaluate employee performance and with General Manager prepare performance appraisals and disciplinary corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports (employee time, SOP, SSOP, etc.).
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing of all new and existing team members.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting warehouse operations that will maximize efficiency, productivity, safety and reduce costs.
• Help set and meet warehouse operational and budget goals.
• Ability to perform the same work duties as those supervised or assist in their performance.
• Other duties as requested.
• HS diploma
• 3 years supervisory or warehouse leadership experience
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supporting systems (i.e. RF scanners and Voice Selection)
• Basic understanding of business financial reports and information
• Attention to detail in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to supervise and lead employees.
• Knowledge of import / export process.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Desktop computers, and label printers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. temperatures as low as -20F / -25C, concrete floors, and powered industrial trucks).
• Strong customer service orientation with urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
