Flex Therapy is Hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist/Feeding Therapist Near Wasilla, AK

About Us: Flex Therapy is a therapist-owned company dedicated to delivering high-quality physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in Wasilla, Alaska, and surrounding areas. Our clinic-based facility offers a comfortable and nurturing environment that supports children's growth and development. We provide home-based services to pediatric and adult clients. This position will be primarily IN-HOME therapy for pediatrics, as feeding interventions can be integrated into a family's life most efficiently and effectively when the treatment occurs in the home :)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct assessments, provide feeding support services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
  • Develop treatment plans and goals for reaching each client's specific goals.
  • Coach family members and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at both home and in community settings.
  • Ensure clients/caregivers are active participants in intervention through clear and consistent communication regarding expectations and generalization strategies.
  • Complete documentation with necessary detail promptly and consistently.
  • Complete progress reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding clients and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AK Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S.) from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Strong Clinical and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Personal means of transportation
