FlexTech High School located in Brighton is hiring a full time Principal for the 24/25 school year. Position will start July 1st. 

The FlexTech High School network is growing. We are looking for a creative and hard-working leader to serve as principal. FlexTech High Schools are small, innovative high schools that offer project-based curriculum and flexibles scheduling. 

Scope of Responsibilities

In partnership with the network leadership team, the principal will promote a positive student and staff culture aligned to FlexTech High School’s vision and mission. FlexTech principals are passionate, adaptive, responsive, and innovative. They seek to reimagine the high school experience for today’s teens and believe in rigorous, relevant and real-world learning for all students. 

The Principal will:

1) Believe in and promote the vision and mission of FlexTech High School.

2) Ensure the academic success and emotional welfare of all students.

3) Develop and promote a positive student and staff culture.

4) Promote and utilize restorative practices to foster positive relationships withinthe school

5) Develop strategic partnerships and programs for school-wide success.

6) Drive the enrollment and recruitment campaign for the school.

7) Direct new student enrollment, registration, and scheduling.

8) Administer district policies concerning academics, discipline, and attendance.

9) Maintain a clean, safe and inclusive school environment.

10) Develop and maintain a thriving parent advisory board.

11) Assist with planning and implementing school programs and events and promote positive public and school-community relations.

12) Use systems thinking to solve complex problems.

13) Motivate staff and students to reach ambitious targets.

14) Maintain a balanced school budget.

15) Perform other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Master's degree in administration, supervision, curriculum or related areas.
• Meet the State school administrator’s certification or continuing education requirement.
• Three years of successful teaching experience or related experience with students.
• Able to foster a student-centered learning environment.
• Demonstrate advanced organizational and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Possess a positive work history.
• Possess a solutions-oriented and innovative attitude.
• Able to manage multiple, complex projects at one time.
• Demonstrated success with meeting school enrollment targets. 

Desirable Qualifications:

1) Knowledge of state and local performance assessment.

2) Experience facilitating project-based learning.

3) Experience working in a blended or online school environment.

4) Experience and training in Restorative Practices
