We are looking for a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our family here at Fleur Pet Hospital. The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be self-motivated and be a strong team player. We are a busy, growing clinic and we depend on our caring, compassionate and reliable staff to create a positive experience for our clients and patients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Helping doctors with physical examinations
• Assisting the receptionists
• Client communication and education
• Dispensing medications
• Restrain patients
• Helping position patients for radiographs
• Provide nursing and comfort care for pets
• Performing treatments, collecting samples (blood/urine/feces), and processing laboratory diagnostic tests.
• Help to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility.

Job Requirements:

• Veterinary Technician licensure would be a plus.
• 1 years of veterinary experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend/kneel throughout the day, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable with proper restraint on dogs and cats.
• Must be accountable, punctual and show up for work with a can-do, positive attitude.
• Must have a passion for excellence in animal care.
• Must have a flexible schedule with availability on weekends and some holidays.
• Must be receptive to training with a positive team attitude.

This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM with an hour lunch break. Wednesday and Saturdays are half days where we are open from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM for food and prescription pick-up only, and only one staff member is here on those days. Staff rotates who works these days, so the assistant technician would work every third Wednesday or Saturday depending on where they fall on the schedule. All schedules are posted at least a month in advance.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
