An EMT responsible for completing a 2 person BLS crew that will respond to 911 calls for service, provide appropriate patient care, and complete electronic patient care reports for each incident. In addition, the crew may be asked to participate in stand-byes, public events, and public outreach programs during an assigned shift. The individual will also be responsible for completing daily house duties and other tasks deemed necessary and assigned by the Chief, President, Operations Supervisor, and/or Deputy Operations Supervisor.
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 19 years of age
2 year experience as a certified New Jersey or National Registry EMT-B
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
Ability to operate as part of a 2-person crew including patient movement / lifting
Technology proficient
Have availability to workday shifts to include some holidays and weekends (anticipated schedule below)
New Jersey or National Registry EMT-B
CPR for Professional Rescuer
Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO)
Incident Command 100 & 200 (ICS-100 & 200)
National Incident Management System 700 (NIMS 700)
Blood Borne Pathogens within the past year
NFPA compliant awareness, operations, or technician level rescue classes
NJ Firefighter I & II
Advanced Incident Command Courses
EMS Response to Large Scale Incidents
CBRNE Ops
WMD Awareness
PHTLS, PEPP, GEMS or equivalent courses
