Job Position: Yard Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: WEEKLY PAY
Payrate: $19.00 per hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for organization of waste & recycling carts on the site yard.
- Cart inventory area to be kept neat and a tight footprint maintained.
- Cart refurbishing with used parts and cart washing per company standards is required.
- Staging of washed carts in stacks in preparation to load company box trucks.
- Comprehensive cart inventory reports and photos of the cart inventory area are required to be sent to the Site Manager weekly.
- Assist the company drivers with loading and unloading their box trucks.
- Cross-training will be provided to train the yard technician to be a backup driver as needed to perform routed cart deliveries, swaps, and removals of carts.
- A typical workday for our drivers begins at 6:00 am or as required by site location.
- Must be able to operate a vehicle in accordance with the company’s rules and safety protocol as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- Performs pre and post trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report).
- Completes and submits customer tickets as required.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation (includes picture taking, notes etc.)
- Class "D" License
- Clean record
- Required work hours are determined based on local legal limits. Work hours vary by route and are typically 8-9 hours per day.
- Requires pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds or more and pushing or pulling up to 450 pounds on wheels.
