Job position: CNC Operator
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: WEEKLY PAY
Payrate: $18.00 per hour D.O.E
Description of work:
  • Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
  • Loading programs into CNC machines.
  • Entering initial settings (e.g. selecting parameters, positioning material, and zeroing the machine).
  • Loading workpieces into the machine.
  • Monitoring machining operations.
  • Intervening in the event of malfunctions, breakdowns, and machine errors.
  • Finishing workpieces and performing quality control checks.
Skill/Requirement:
  • Machining: A CNC operator needs a strong understanding of machining. This includes comprehending how the machine works, inputting the correct code, and achieving the desired results.
  • Programming: Proficiency in programming is crucial. Operators must create precise instructions for the CNC machine to follow, enabling intricate designs.
  • Setup: The ability to set up a CNC machine is critical. Operators select and install the correct tooling, work holding fixtures, load programs, and configure machine parameters.
