SR Salesforce Developer

This role will be part of a team of Salesforce developers responsible for building and maintaining on the Salesforce platform to support various teams throughout the organization. This position requires technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support items within the Salesforce platform and various other corporate systems/tools using recommended best practices.
• Collaborate with other internal groups to translate business and functional requirements into technical implementation for the automation of existing processes and the development of new applications. Ability to suggest alternative technical solutions to business problems.
• Communicate with internal customers in non-technical terms, understand business requirements, and propose solutions
• Manage projects from specification gathering to development, to QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production
• Participate in meetings and organize work and/or training sessions around new software being introduced into the ICE technology environment
• Document changes and author documentation on software development standards and practices

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (CS or EE preferred).
• 5 year’s development experience on the Salesforce platform.
• Solid understanding and experience with various SDLC methodologies
• Solid technical background, especially in web/software development, relational databases, and object-oriented concepts.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies; ability to identify issues/opportunities and recommend solutions, ideas, and more efficient approaches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects
• Minimal travel: 2-3 weeks per year
• Strong Experience with Lightning/Apex/VisualForce
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery
• Experience with Web Services / Web APIs: SOAP, REST, XML, JSON
• Salesforce.com certifications include (but are not limited to) Admin and Platform Developer 1 and 2 certifications.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Salesforce.com Architect or Developer certification.
• Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Salesforce Lightning
• Experience with web application development, including solid experience with Java, as well as HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS
