MANAGER, EVENT LOGISTICS AND PRODUCTION

OVERVIEW:

The Manager of Event Logistics and Production will oversee special projects, programmatic, and event operations of 3 separate products that serve as platforms for engagement and entertainment public spaces. The professional selected for this role will ensure world class special events, adherence to industry best practices, vetting of event and project feasibility, and support of creative projects and production within the chosen space network. The scope of this position is broad and requires an exceptional level of initiative, communication, and cross-departmental collaboration as well as a commitment to developing relationships with key partners, event and production staff, and third-party vendors and contractors.

This position is responsible for highly visible aspects of the Flavorhouse brands and requires excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player with a passion for enhancing key elements to maximize the uses of each venue and event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct special projects and maintain oversight of program and events contractors and vendors to deliver clean, safe, world-class and inviting event.
  • Collaborate with and provide timely information to owners and the day-to-day operational staff, team members and partners who are essential to the daily visitor experience and who provide oversight of assets.
  • Create multi-step event build and breakdown schedules, transforming the event spaces throughout the year based on the event, project, or program needs and opportunities.
  • Oversee event and production logistics, including planning and executing Special Event Orders and Special Event Applications, ensuring internal teams are aligned on deliverables expected and required to create a successful experience for all.
  • Oversee business performance pertaining to special projects such as food and beverage program, concert activations, etc.
  • Influence public space logistics and production, with short- and long-term objectives, considering best practices and ongoing innovation in the industry.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for event crew, staff, and key contractors and vendors that work in the field related to specific events and programs.
  • Vet the creative vision of special events and programs with logistical realities and budgetary considerations, creating alignment across project teams.
  • Liaise and ensure compliance with city permitting pertaining to the Special Events Departments, Health Departments, etc. Assist with acquiring permits for special projects, including but not limited to:

Special Event Liquor Licenses, Building and tent permits, staging and A/V, electrical mapping and planning, special effect permits, etc.

  • Manage procurement process of all event supplies and equipment. Maintain a current inventory and replenish as budgeted and required.
  • Determine priories, assign project teams, and oversee planning and implementation to ensure best in class production and events in public spaces.
  • Collaborate with internal staff, including members of Graphics, Compliance, Purchasing, Social Media, Video, Manufacturing and Distribution on the development, implementation, and management of event.
  • Plan, oversee, and take overall responsibility for event build and breakdown processes and procedures.
  • Oversee project budgets and expenses pertaining to event and production logistics.
  • Work closely with other departmental and interdepartmental teams, including, day-to-day field and facilities operations, corporate partnerships, and development, to set the stage for successful gatherings and activities.
  • Convene events crew, staff, production vendors, program stakeholders, and others impacted by logistics and production needs and address questions or concerns.
  • Benchmark and analyze existing event supplier agreements and performance / scope to ensure price competitiveness and top-quality results.
  • Ensure effective deliverables from staff who support the vision of projects,

programs, and events.

  • Conduct operational activities in a way that is sensitive to varying needs and expectations of stakeholders, third-parties, celebrities, and VIP’s.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • 4-year degree in related field and/or a minimum 5 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of 3 years in public space management, arts management, technical, stage or film production, hospitality, entertainment, project management, or other relevant experience.
  • Willingness to demonstrate commitment to Flavorhouse’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Sufficient credibility to advise production and project teams in relation to public space operations.
  • Ability to track and plan management scenarios year-round, resulting in real-time adjustments.
  • Understanding of public and private space ecosystem and

supporting infrastructure.

  • Ability to manage multiple teams, projects, and processes simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized.
  • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse set of people including staff, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude, problem-solver.
  • Ability to work effectively and seamlessly with Flavorhouse leadership and C-level colleagues and partners.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
