Flatiron Construction Corp is Hiring an IT Systems Administrator I Near Broomfield, CO

Overview

As IT Systems Administrator, you will design, deploy and support the network, server and communications infrastructure at the company's corporate datacenter and regional and district offices.

What you will be doing

  • Work closely with the field support team to assure timely jobsite setups
  • Provide technical guidance to the field support team and help desk
  • Maintain, configure, and operate Windows servers, network infrastructure, and virtualization
  • Create documentation, system diagrams, and knowledgebase articles
  • Support and configure Active Directory infrastructure, including group policy, OU structure, account management, security, etc.
  • Evaluate and install patches, firmware updates, system updates, etc. for IT systems
  • Help to create, maintain, and improve IT system configuration standards
  • Schedule and coordinate server and network hardware maintenance windows with field support team
  • Coordinate with other departments and support personnel to report and resolve software, hardware, and operational problems
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to management
  • Administer various IT infrastructure systems, possibly including but not limited to Exchange email systems, email security systems, IT system monitoring tools, file-sharing platforms, antivirus, backup systems, MFA and SSO integrations, MDM platform, etc.
  • Perform regular health and security checks on IT systems
  • Strictly adhere to IT security best practices, and help to execute IT security enhancement projects
  • Perform additional assignments per management’s direction

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical related field from an accredited institution preferred
  • 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Intermediate knowledge of network/server administration (2 years) in a medium-sized, distributed environment (500 users, 10-15 company locations); installing and maintaining Windows operating systems (2 years) on server class hardware
  • Network administration and troubleshooting experience (firewalls, routers, switches, APs); Microsoft Active Directory administration; Windows Server administration; O365 administration; monitoring systems; scripting and automation
  • System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, VMWare, IT security, or network related fields are a plus
