Overview

As the Assistant Contracts and Risk Manager, you will support the pre-bid proposal and construction contract review process by identifying, evaluating and proposing mitigation to any risks during the project pursuit and bid phase.

What you will be doing

• Analyzes proposal and contract documents for low level risk profile contracts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Identifies and recommends risk mitigation and risk transfer opportunities in close collaboration with the operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement.
• Coordinates all risk review and management activities throughout the various Bid Review Committee (BRC) phases to ensure all key risks resolved by time of bid delivery.
• Attends and documents pursuit evaluations meetings and contract review discussions.
• Manages all pursuit evaluation documentations and VantagePoint data regarding project reviews and approvals.
• Develops trustful relationships key with stakeholders in estimating, business development, operations, and create alignment on the Company’s risk management philosophies.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field required.
• 2 years’ experience with construction project contracts preferred.
• Experience with contracts, negotiations, pursuit management preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Strong collaboration and team player attitude.
