Flat Rock Homes is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Near Elyria, OH

NEW HIGHER PAY RATE!

While we do hire STNAs into our Direct Support Professional (DSP) roles, you are not required to be an STNA to be hired as a Direct Support Professional. We are hiring DSPs in multiple Lorain/Erie/Seneca/Huron county locations on various shifts.

The rate of pay for DSPs is 16.00/hr except for the hours of midnight to 6 a.m. when you may sleep. Those sleep shift hours are paid at 15.00/hr.

Overtime is paid on any hours over 40 in a week. (Time and a half pay)

All shifts. Full Time, Part Time, Subs and Baylor Shifts!

Eligible candidates will be at least 18 yrs old and have a high school diploma/GED. We are a drug free work place.. There are aspects of driving our company vehicles while working with our individuals therefore for most of our positions therefore it's preferable that you have an Ohio Driver's License with less than 6 points and no more than 2 moving violations. If you do not meet that driving requirement please let us know and do not let this deter you from applying. We conduct a post offer pre employment screening that will include completing a driving record check, criminal background check among other checks.

  • Physical Job requirements: Exerting/lifting/carrying 25 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently, or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Are you able to meet the physical requirements of this position?
  • The rate of pay is $16.00 an hour. When/if working overnights too, the hours of midnight to 6:00 a.m. you are allowed to sleep. The rate of pay during these hours is $15.00 an hour during sleep shift. Are you comfortable with this rate?

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • care field/mentoring: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License with no more than 2 moving violations (Preferred)
  • CPR/1st Aid (we also offer classes if you do not have this) (Preferred)
  • Driver's License with less than 6 points & vehicle (Preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (Preferred)
