Company/Opportunity:
Cloud Peak Minerals, LLC ("CPM") is seeking a GIS Analyst to help manage its expanding mineral and leasehold positions across several states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. CPM is looking for a driven and dynamic individual to manage its GIS database and drive efficiencies across various technologies employed by the organization. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and maintenance of all GIS data. Ideal candidates have 2 years of experience working for a company within the oil and gas industry and must have significant experience in the Appalachian region. Job Duties:
Analyze and review title documents including oil and gas leases, real property deeds, easements, rights-of-way, and other instruments to determine where they are situated;
Support acquisitions team by mapping leads generated internally and received through brokers; allocate parcels to existing drilling units and undeveloped areas for valuation; manage database of parcels uploaded from unit applications and clean and correct where necessary
Assist cross-departmental teams utilizing GIS and/or data-driven technology to improve collaborative efforts in GIS and data visualization across the organization;
Work with land and engineering to best determine boundaries of future drill spacing units that can be relied on for Company forecasts as well as to value potential mineral acquisitions;
Assist with integration and correlation of data from all aspects of business and application database(s) in place such as Salesforce and ComboCurve; and
Compensation: Commensurate with experience; salary, full benefits, and performance incentives.
Location: This position will be based out of the Company’s office in Canonsburg, PA.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, GIS, geography, or related area;
Minimum 2 years of experience within the O&G industry;
Advanced experience with ESRI products, specifically ArcGIS and ArcGIS server;
Experience aggregating data using various state sources, production databases, and Enverus' suite of modules;
Experience with Spotfire, SQL Server, and Python (desired, but not required);
Significant experience in Appalachia required;
Competencies:

Process-driven with a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and accountability;
Focus on priorities, setting objectives and goals, measuring performance and evaluating results;
