**GENERAL ATTRIBUTES AND POSITION DESCRIPTION**
The General Manager is a team member of a bigger organization with central support of a central office staff for HR and Accounting.
The General Manager must function as an owner AND as a team member of a bigger organization with support of a central office staff for HR and Accounting and must have thorough knowledge in a wide range of subjects regarding the opening of a restaurant ranging from licensure, regulations and HR, to recipes, customer service and knowledge of restaurant equipment, repairs and suppliers. The General Manager is required to have excellent working knowledge of Back Office procedures including Microsoft Office, any POS back office system, working accounting knowledge, employee scheduling, and Quick Books. The General Manager is also required to have hands on knowledge and ability, when necessary, of kitchen operations, hands on, so that compromise of standards in order to accommodate finicky cooks, chefs and bakers is avoided.
