Flagstaff Shelter Services provides an array of services to clients including the Emergency Shelter, our Day Resource Center, Health Clinic, Flagstaff Front Door, and Housing Case Management. Our staff work day and night to match clients to appropriate services as well as ensuring clients receive holistic support and resources. 

Volunteers will work with shelter coordinators with basic shelter duties:

• Help with check-in's (sign in sheets, pat downs, bag searches)
• Answer phones to direct calls
• Provide clients with needed resources (hygiene, clothes, mail)
• Designate clients to chores and duties
• Ensure all clients are safe and cared for

This internship looks for:

• Students with communication skills, basic computer skills, ethical responsibility, and empathic ability.
• Between 15-20 hours a week commitment.
