We are excited to announce a unique position for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work in a clinic-based role alongside our renowned Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, Dr. Nathan Swain, DO, and Dr. Marshall Meier, MD.

Position Highlights: 

This is an exclusive opportunity for a PA-C to work closely with our PM&R specialists in a clinic-based role with no surgical responsibilities. Here are the key highlights:

  • Clinic-Based Role: Your primary focus will be in our clinic, providing comprehensive care and support to patients seeking musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment.
  • No Surgical Duties: This position does not involve surgery. Instead, you will collaborate with our physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating various musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Supportive Environment: Join a team that prioritizes work-life balance. There is no overnight call or rounding responsibilities, and weekends are yours to enjoy.

Your Responsibilities: 

As a PM&R Team APP at Flagstaff Bone and Joint, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations.
  • Collaborating with our PM&R physicians and PA to evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for spine and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Administering appropriate treatments, including therapeutic joint interventions, medications, and referring for spine intervention.
  • Providing patient education and ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their conditions and treatment options.
  • Documenting patient encounters accurately and maintaining up-to-date medical records.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A licensed Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant in Arizona.
  • National certification and current BLS certification.
  • A commitment to learning and growing in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
