FLAG Solutions is Hiring a Warehouse Associate Near Fremont, CA

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our food manufacturing company. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and safely operate a forklift to transport materials, products, and supplies within our facility. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating forklifts in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment, possess a strong attention to detail, and prioritize safety at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Forklift Equipment:
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Inspect forklifts before each use to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
  • Load, unload, and stack materials, products, and supplies using the forklift in a manner that prevents damage and maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Move materials between production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks efficiently and according to schedules.
  • Material Handling:
  • Receive, identify, and verify incoming materials and supplies against delivery documentation.
  • Organize and maintain an organized and clean storage area, ensuring materials are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
  • Prepare and stage materials for production, ensuring availability of necessary supplies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory management by conducting cycle counts, reporting discrepancies, and ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to forklift operations, including load capacity limits, speed restrictions, and safe stacking techniques.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of materials moved, inventory transactions, and forklift inspections.
  • Complete necessary documentation such as receiving reports, delivery notes, and inventory logs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with generating reports related to inventory levels, material usage, and other relevant metrics as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification/license.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator in a food manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of safe forklift operation practices and principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and generating reports.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
