Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Medical Biller is
responsible for general aspects of billing and payment collection.
DutiesJob Requirements:
- Process claims and handle clearing house rejections.
- Resolve denial instances.
- Post charges.
- Post payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable.
- Work with insurance companies on disputed claims and processing issues.
- Update tracking spreadsheets.
- Interact virtually with clients on billing and payment matters.
- Assist with incoming mail.
- Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently with a sense of personal ownership and ability to “get things done” as well as work as part of a team.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel skills.
- Strong aptitude for written and verbal customer service.
