JOB SUMMARY:
This is a high visibility role where the individual will be interacting with all levels of personnel within the company and will be reporting and receiving direction from Audit Director.Under supervision ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and preparation of final reports.Applies risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identifies any potential issues.Communicates identified issues to the Audit Director to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Conducts assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end.
•Identifies and communicates issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk.
•Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
•Develops audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
•Identifies and tests controls to assess the design and effectiveness of management control processes.
•Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented.
•Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards.
•Provides input for the audit universe and annual audit plan.
•Organizes personal effort to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times.
•Provides support as needed to all members of the Internal Audit Team.
•Ensures adequate focus on personal professional growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression - proactively seeks relevant education and training opportunities supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgement.
•Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgement.
•Ideal candidate will have strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
•Candidate needs to be self-directed, organized, dependable, detail-oriented, observant, and thorough.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Periodically perform walkthroughs within a refining and tank farm setting in the oil and gas industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or other relevant business discipline. Master's degree preferred.
•Accounting experience desirable.
•Proficient in Excel and Word.
•Experience in or with retail operations, convenience stores, capital expense construction projects, and experience within the oil and gas industry a plus.
•CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE a plus.
