Job Details DescriptionGeneral Summary -Under limited supervision performs work from routine to difficult in the repair and installation of commercial refrigeration and food service equipment in retail convenience stores such as ovens, fryers and sandwich cases. HVAC repairs as well as basic and routine maintenance will also be assigned. Essential Job Duties
Work on retail refrigeration and food service equipment (includes food service-related equipment, and other food service-related equipment such as ovens, deep fryers, walk in coolers and freezers
Commercial HVAC repairs and troubleshooting.
Basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.
Basic maintenance such as repairing plumbing system, doors, locks, and changing bulbs.
Minimum Qualifications1 year experience or equivalent in food service , HVAC/Refrigeration
Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
Knowledge of tools, materials, and practices related to facility construction and maintenance.
Able to understand instructions and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
Team player, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
Basic computer skills, including ability to use an iPad and work order software.
Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
Operation of power and manual tools.
Operation of light and heavy equipment.
Physical Requirements
Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, requires extensive travel. Most travel consists of day trips, but some overnight trips may be required.
Work extended hours out of doors in varying weather conditions.
Perform heavy manual labor.
Able to squat and kneel and a regular basis.
Climb and work on ladders and is comfortable working and operating equipment at various heights.
Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
